Dont' throw old sails away, turn them into something useful ......
You never know, they might be more useful than they were on the boat!
This is how you can help the environment and make something useful out of your old sails.
One of my bags, obviously made from a Laser sail is shown in this article.
Old Laser sails work very well because the material does not have the same amount of epoxy 'dressing' in the material compared with crackly GP14 sails.

The instructions show you how to make the handles from the same bag material, but 25mm (1") wide woven tape (available from all good chandlers) works much better with the sailcloth. You can, of course, change the size to anything you like.
