The Welsh Harp Sailing Club is re-opening!

From 29th March the club will be open for leisure sailing & windsurfing, for racing and for boat tinkering.

The club will be opening in accordance with Step 1 of the government’s COVID-19 Spring Response but we are waiting for further guidance about exactly how this can happen from the government and the RYA. As soon as we have these we will give more details…but in the meantime what we do know is:

Racing

The Saturday Spring Series will commence on 3rd April and the Tuesday Spring Series will commence on 6th April. Further details will follow but in the meantime please confirm who you are sailing with to enable the duty rota to be set up This email address is being protected from spambots. Training

Until we get further details from the government and RYA we are unable to confirm dates and details but there will be something for everyone:

Kids

We are busy planning our usual mix of weekly Saturday morning and Thursday evening training sessions as well as some holiday RYA courses.

Adults

Saturday morning Plain Sailing, Thursday evening training and Saturday Coached Racing will all return as well as some RYA courses to bring all levels on.

Windsurfing

We are looking forward to seeing both beginners and more advanced members at our Thursday evening sessions.

Power Boat, Safety Boat, First Aid

For those wishing to train in other areas, we are looking at teaming up with other friends on the Harp to provide these.

The volunteers have been busy whilst we have been away making vast improvements to the site, read more about it in this article.
